In December of 2008 I met with David Karr of Coldwell Banker and I told him I was looking for a property in Los Suenos. I told him what I was willing to spend and when I wanted to close. In January he contacted me and told me that he had found what I was looking for. We entered into a letter of intent in Late January of 2009 and I visited the property in early February.

The property was exactly what I was looking for and we closed on the property on February 20, 2009. I appreciate all of his hard work and great contacts and would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase real estate in and around the Central Pacific are of Costa Rica.

I recently had my condo in Los Suenos Resort for sale. At the time I listed it I did not know David Karr. I contacted him via the internet when I saw he was promoting another condo in Los Suenos Resort. I was amazed how David promoted my condo when it was not his listing. He always got back to me and tried his hardest to market my condo even though his commission would have been very small had he sold it.

We have found David to be very professional, inquiring as to our needs and taste in real estate to match them up with the choices in Costa Rica.

When he found we would be better served in a different market – he offered to use other professional resources to help meet our needs.  His best skill is listening and then presenting the buyer with the choices that would best meet their needs.  In the end, that is all a buyer can ask of a realtor – then the final choice / decision is up to the buyer.

By nature I am skeptical.  We came to Costa Rica – having heard from friends and family of how good life is in this Latin American nation.
